February 2022. Hay color. Smooth, elegant, easy to finish but hint of sherry that blew off with air or disappeared with food. Enjoyed with sea bass in light cream sauce. — 4 years ago
Very lightly sweet. — 5 years ago
What. A. Nose. Clay, dry clay and wet clay, olive, game, red berry fruit, granite and very stoney. Smells so old school and very stoney. Elegant and so pure. Beautiful. Very pure. Gorgeous black cherry as well and blackberry. Really compelling. Palate is super juicy and clean. Gorgeous mouthfeel and super stoney complexity. Balanced, clean and so pure. Inner mouth aromas are violets. Awesome. The stonier side of St. Joseph. Long chewy and very velvety tannins. Really great. Sappy tiny berry fruit intensity as well on the finish but the stones wash it all away. — 6 years ago

This was easily 9.3 or 9.4 on day 2. I just didn’t leave enough to give a true assessment….Thanks @Lyle Fass for a great St. Joseph! — 4 years ago
A very pretty champagne in a very pretty package. A beautiful light salmon color. Preciously precise miniature bubbles and a nose that’s as fresh as it is generous. Rose petals and strawberries. Wet soil, dried cherries, and chalk. Blood oranges show after some air along with vanilla and spice.
When people ask me what is my favorite rosé, the answer is always unequivocally this lovely 100% Meunier from Aurelien Laherte. Biodynamic and natural, the purity of fruit here is undeniable. Use your big glasses to really give this to space to breathe and you’ll be rewarded. Low dosage of 2.5 but honestly you’ll never feel it. It’s so harmonious and so drinkable that a bottle never really lasts long.
Exquisite in the mouth showcasing its vinous nature and charm. More robust fruit on the palate along with salinity and subtle spice. High acidity but not searing with plenty of body. Seriously, just buy these anytime you see them. However many you have just isn’t enough. — 5 years ago

The new “Esperluette” cuvée. In the words of Jérôme Prévost, “For this cuvée, we are still 100% Pinot Meunier, always 100% from the terroir of Gueux. 20% reserve wine 2017 completed with 80% wine from harvest 2018, 20% of which is from Béguines. We work some of these vines ourselves, in the same spirit and with the same touch as in Les Béguines.”
My first time tasting this cuvée. There is such singularity to his wines and really I don’t think anyone can match what Prevost is doing with 100% Pinot Meunier. Although, I definitely want to try Aurelien Lurquin. As with the Béguines, it’s so terroir expressive, supported by bruised stone fruit, baking spices and riveting energy and tension. It needs a great deal of air to really show its stuff and then it is truly oh so giving. — 5 years ago
飲み頃
タンニンもまろやかに抑えられエレガント。スケール感は無いが、とても穏やかな味わい — 6 years ago
Aurelien Palthey makes huge strides every year with this cuvée. Less oak, more riveting acidity. Lush and tropical, but it’s from the 50+ year-old vines, not overripeness and cheap cellar tricks. One of the best 2017 white Burgundies I’ve tasted. — 7 years ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Medium lemon color with fresh fruit aromas of stone and citrus fruits with chalky notes. On the palate flavors of apple, lime citrus and pear, lively acidity with flinty notes. Medium+ finish, notes of fruit, citrus and mineral spice character. — 8 days ago
