Smooth. Berry flavours with a hint of chocolate — 5 days ago
I’m having a hard time evaluating this wine as it was closed upon opening. An hour splash decant filled the room with violet, pepper, iron and earth, but the palate was muted. The next day showed more, but didn’t feel like the wine was ready to reveal its secrets. All the elements of good quality Cote Rotie are present, and perhaps with a little more time, will blossom. — 7 days ago
Enjoyed it as the burgundy train ran over my ass. Damn. Shit bang. — 20 days ago
Nose has lemon peel, green apple peel, saline solution, wet beach sand and crushed oyster shells; Restrained.
Palate has warmed lemon, dried lemon pith, steely minerals, sea salt and lemon peel.
A very nice wine, but a departure from the 2014 version, atypical for this gifted producer.

Some say Rosè is for pussies. Now, I would never say that, but some people do. All I know is that this wine gave me extended length, width and girth so who’s laughing now! — a month ago
So peppery! Lovely lithe expression of syrah with viognier adding voluptuous notes. Floral Cote Rotie-esque perfumes. So transparent and elegant. By night two this is showing purple and pink flowers, candied violets, iron, fresh black raspberry, brambly notes, a touch of tropical fruit. Perfectly judged hint of sweetness on the finish. — a day ago
