A little over 2 years since my last bottle. While 07s have been a strange lot, this bottle was utterly sublime and totally in its prime. Pop and pour. On the nose: soft cola, pine, dark black raspberry, black olive with brine....sweet and intensely savory. On the palate: fantastic acidity, excellent density and weight with olive brine, black raspberry, classic Cote Rotie. Attenuated tannin, but lovely balsamic notes, and very juicy on the finish.

Dec 25th, 2014Savory smoked meats, sage brush, and dried red berries. Juicy acidity still present, tannins have softened. Overall, a little on the lighter side but finishes with persistence.
