The first edition of Jardin d'Ulysse, based on the 2015 vintage and disgorged in 2021 has aged beautifully in bottle. It’s really picked up intensity and generosity since it was first released. It definitely needs air, in fact, I’d have it open an hour or so in advance. It’s a taut, racy rendition with a stunningly silky texture while simultaneously rich with just the slightest oxidative complexity that’s beginning to build and only adding to its attraction. Its floral, spice and citrus inflicted aromatics are layered between its chalky mineral core and the palate is chiseled, full bodied, satiny and concentrated, with structure built to age. It’s only going to get better. Love these wines 🙌🏻 — 8 months ago

Love this vintage for what’s normally a rich, dense and powerful style that almost takes you to Burgundy. The 2017 rendition after 36 months on the lees is particularly elegant, satiny and detailed, layered with blood orange, red flowers and spice inflicted aromatics with a chalky mineral core. The full bodied and textural palate offers tremendous fruit density, balance and purity with a lingering finale. Love the whole lineup from Ulysse Collin. — 5 months ago

Collin says raspberry, I say it’s red. Doesn’t dry out the mouth with tannis like a lot of CFs, probably due to age and lack of decantation. Great everyday red. — 2 months ago
Absolutely gorgeous and unique. For a 23yo wine the complexity on the nose and palate is still bumpin, and the tannins are silky and smooth, with a little grab here and there just to let you know it’s past. Nose of rich dark berries, old driftwood (from Collin) with a medium body that’s fruit forward, somewhat smoky, and beautifully balanced with hints of dried herbs, and sage. Absolutely amazing. — 8 months ago
