$44 Grand Cru. Smells super rich and yeasty. Lemony gold color, small bubbles. Peach hits my nose first, then maybe apricot and then croissant. More fruit leading than I expected but an interesting weighty taste. Yum. — 2 months ago
Deep salmon color. Clean, citrusy, and almost velvet-like (??) smell. Lots of small bubbles, and such a crisp, delightful finish. Loved it. — 3 months ago
Absolutely wonderful. Aromas of bright apple, lemon, and just... fresh. Having with almonds and a thriller novel. — 6 months ago
50% Pinot Meunier, 35% Chardonnay, and 15% Pinot Noir. Pale yellow in color, heady apricot scent with a touch of honey. Crisp with good minerality, not terribly complex, but I Guess I'd expect that given the low percentage of Pinot Noir. — 13 days ago
2016 Black Label Brut. Delightfully classic gold color, lots of small bubbles. I smell brioche, butter cookie, apricot, and lemon. Very dry and crisp taste, a hint of lemon but otherwise clean. — 3 months ago
Super smooth and easily drinkable. Pale straw color with citrus and melon nose. Perfect for a Sunday afternoon with a rom com and laundry. — 4 months ago
Gervais Gobillard NV Champagne. 34% Pinot Noir, 33% Chardonnay, and 33% Pinot Meunier. Aged at least two years per the bottle. Wonderful, frothy mousse and small delicate bubbles. Pure gold color. Smells like apricot, toast, and florals. Subtle and balanced, but young, which I guess is the Meunier coming through. Good with fresh fruit. — a month ago
Wonderful crisp flavor, and Marie de Moy continues to be a favorite. Deep gold color, with bright notes. Unfortunately this bottle may have been a bad one; went pretty flat after 3 or so minutes in the glass. Don't let that discourage though, really delicious. — 3 months ago
2018, by the Prisoner Wine Company. Healdsburg California. The cage loop broke in my hand so I had to use pliers. 🥴 After a quick trip to the toolbox in the garage, we were back in business. Unfortunately, The bottle issue was a foreshadowing of what was to come.
Pale golden color, and about 20 seconds after I poured it, it completely stopped bubbling. Notes of pear, honey, and crackers. Oddly sweet for a brut. The most disappointing thing I've purchased at the grocery store since my experimental potato chip phase. — 6 months ago
Jayna Fontenot
80% Pinot Meunier, 20% Pinot Noir. Deep gold in color. Noses reminiscent of red berry, brioche, and perhaps apricot? Full and round, and much better than I thought I was in for with a mostly Pinot Meunier blend! — 9 days ago
