Yes, I'll have a taste.
Wonderful forward fruit - some underripe berry, acid well on point and mouthfeel of medium depth. Nice little bottle. — 5 days ago
Nose of brioche and buttered toast with lemon curd jelly, wet slate, dry chalk, cardamom in the background. Everything high toned. Attack is bracing, lemon juice and some green apple. Acid massive. Mid palette has lemon apple concentrate with the dose evident. Finish is all lemon candy but with malic acid. Long and focused. This is a beautiful, tightly wound champagne that will peak in at least 5-10 more years. Fun right now with food! — 22 days ago
Wow. Have never been a fan of Piper till this. Amazing. Nose of underripe red cherry, red berries, lemon, apricot, papaya, banana, some peach and brioche. Super layered complex. Attack is swift with acid and followed with a layers of bread dough, a bit of oxidation, sour pear. Finish is long but mellow. Can see a bit of the House style with the finish. Excellent bottle. — a month ago
This is wonderful - a nose of fresh ripe sweet red strawberry, morphs into some raspberry. Acid builds perfectly into a balance of fruit and acid with the prevailing strawberry note at the center. Finishes also fruity with just a tinge of green fruit but just a hint, and a I mean a hint, of chalk. This balances the finish beautifully. Really world class rose. — 19 days ago
Bright and unobtrusive. Citrus. Light body and finish. Well enjoyed. — a month ago
My 700th wine on Delectable!🤙🏼 And what a beautiful wine it is! The 08’ LGA is big and bold with traditional house style with the great core of acid that 08s reveal. Crisp lemon nose, definitely citrus forward but with some underlying sweetness, like sugar and baking spice but only slight. Solid acid and the full body reveals a nice limestone core with buttered toast. Finish is medium + in length. An excellent bottle that will continue and develop. Looking forward to drinking this more over the years! — a month ago
Green apples and yellow apples and then this oxidative leesie character. It was sharp and direct and then seemed to want to apologize for its aggressiveness on the palette. It became well rounded and reasonable. This is not for everyone, a divisive Champagne perhaps. One must be comfortable with its power. Carry on. — 22 days ago
