Nice Chianti. A bit feral at first - 45 mins in the decanter and a slight chill bring things into more balance. Obviously could take more time in bottle but expressing pretty well overall even at this point. Has that great Radda lifting acid finish. Nice pairing with chicken scarpariello. — 6 days ago

I love this wine. We had it with a rich meal of cognac Dijon beef stew, and Alsatian braised red cabbage. It was especially beautiful with the cabbage. It’s fruit notes were amazing. Its finesse and elegance were perfect for the meal. and at this price, it’s an unbelievable bargain. — 21 days ago

No formal notes but clearly for the price this is a great value. Excellent pairing with fennel rubbed pork chops. Quite seamless even at this point, though obviously could use more time. Long enveloping finish with good acid. Quite nice indeed. — a month ago

The 2017 Chianti Classico Riserva Rancia is incredibly polished and sophisticated. Silky tannins give the 2017 its racy, sleek personality. Over the last year, the 2017 Riserva has really settled into a gorgeous place. There is plenty of vintage 2017 intensity, but Rancia is distinctly medium in body and restrained. The wilder side of Sangiovese, one of the signatures of Rancia and Fèlsina. — 11 days ago
