Young but very approachable and delicious, even though I popped and poured a glass. Bright and juicy cherries, bitter florals, little bit of mushroom, little bit of brandy, medium tannins. This doesn't strike me as a Barolo that can go for decades, but I know this is a renowned maker, so probably. Just really easy drinking at only 7 years of age.

Many 85s from Piedmont have faded. This one is just a classic example of fully mature Nebbiolo. Tar, leather, sous bois, soft fruit, iron, wet stone, and tannins still alive, well balanced. Long finish. Showing surprisingly well. A great wine for a heat wave!! 😆 — 2 months ago

The niose on this is out of this world (or one might say heavenly hehehe) for a garnacha with both fresh and stewed plums, black pepper, menthol or eucalyptus, and the savoryness of red meat. Relaxed and not in a hurry on the pallate, it floats there with very fine tannins and just enough acid to keep it fresh while not interfering with the silky texture of it all.

New-mown hay, blackberry brambles on the nose. Intensely fruit forward, but not sweet or cloying. Raspberries and blackberries. Light tannic structure, with mint and back pepper low notes, but it develops a pleasing minerality on its surprisingly long finish. I don’t know anything about this vintage, but it seems like it was grown on volcanic soils. The front reminds me of a Beaujolais Nouveau, but the finish is much more complex. A unique profile combination that I’ve never tasted before. Lovely. — 4 months ago
