Um vinho bem intenso! A cor é forte, mas já sem o brilho rubi. O aroma é bem alcóolico e isso se reflete no sabor. Ao beber o sabor é incorpado e forte, sobresaindo a queimação do álcool e um traço de tanino no centro da língua e na mucosa abaixo do lábio. Este vinho pode acompanhar bem um prato mais forte, como um molho fungui ou carne com bastante molho. — 10 days ago

Swan Clone Pinot Noir 2012

No formal notes as I drank this bottle in a line-up of other great wines but oh man, woman and child...these are killer right now. Balance and authenticity typical of McHenry; leaning more towards the darker edge of the red fruit profile. This has depth that I rarely find in Pinot Noir short of drinking one of Hubert Lignier's stunners from M-S-D. I realize that seems like an exaggeration but it's the honest to God truth. Structure that will allow this to last for another decade and possibly longer. My WOTN with the 2014 Rafanelli Zinfandel and NV Christopher Tynan "Le Sucrier Velours" a close second (or third, if you will). Only 96 cases produced. — 14 days ago

San Benito County Mataro 2015

Ripe nose of black berries, cherries, and plum with a hint of leather and smoke. More weight than I expected with vibrant, rounded tannins. Complex with not a hint of jamminess or oiliness. Worked well with comfort roasted chicken and Mac and cheese. Surprisingly dry but juicy...I suspect another few years of life, though pleasant now! — 9 days ago

From 375ml in a Grassl Mineralité, on the nose it is a dead ringer for 2006 Taittinger Comtes de Champagne, with lemon, apple, and a touch of hazelnut. Loaded with acidity, it.benefits from air and warming up some on the glass. — 2 days ago

Medium yellow w/ a touch of hazy sediment. Shy nose with quite an initial medium weight punch on the palate...tart lemon pith and dry sea salt indicative of the Italian varietal. Santa Cruz Mountains Chardonnay

Zoom group tasting with Jamie Kutch tonight. Easily one of the handful of top California chard’s I’ve ever had. The yin/yang of power, alcoholic restraint, and sheer complexity is mind-blowing. Granny Smith apples, Meyer lemon and tart Yuzu notes float above a solid foundation of barrel weight and acidic structure. I just want to keep sticking my nose in the glass all night.
