Dark ruby core with a garnet rim. The nose is full of aromas of dried cherry, violets, rose petals and leather. Dark cherry, cranberry and raspberry fruit flavors. Hint of black pepper on the short finish. Medium bodied with light tannins and mouth watering acidity. No evidence of oak aging. Basic “pizza wine,” but quite gulpable. Excellent QPR. — 2 months ago

Other ratings called this “closed” which I completely agree with. The dense flavors took forever to open up. I popped it at noon for a 7:30p dinner of chick pea and potato pasta, and it was still developing. Highly tannic, but so layered if you have the patience. Darker fruits, yet still some tart red cherry, lavender, rose petals, and ashy dryness. Complex, classic Barolo (from my limited experience). I’ll save my second bottle to see how it develops. — 2 months ago
Drank with New Years Eve dinner from The Tavern. Wagyu Bolognese and embarrassingly small petit filet. Really enjoyable wine. Good dark fruits. — 4 months ago
Dusty thyme, basil, dark licorice, strawberry and cranberry, roses, lavender stems, slaty minerality, Complex and elegant. Rather open already. — 2 months ago

Tar, dried roses, dried red cherry, forest floor, leather, tobacco. Med+/high acidity, dusty tannings, almost no primary flavors left. Beautiful wine. Drink now — 4 months ago
