Château Brane-Cantenac

Baron de Brane Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend 2022

2022 vintage. 65 Merlot, 30 Cabernet Sauvignon, 4 Cabernet Franc, 1 Petit Verdot. A very different style compared to Brane Cantenac, as it comes from different vineyards and it is more Merlot dominated. But this 2022 is a great wine in its own right. Good to know is that Henri Lurton considers 2022 his best vintage ever! — 10 days ago

Such different styles...this is definately more fruit forward. Both excellent wines. Great drinking them together — 4 days ago

8.9

No ratings on this wine in a while it seems. The 2024 vintage is quite quaffable, although more tannin than I’d expect in a carbonic wine. Perhaps semi-carbonic, with some time on that 100% whole cluster following the carbonic maceration? A very enjoyable wine though, fruit forward as you’d expect from carbonic but with more structure and grip. Well made. — 9 days ago

Château Mouton Rothschild Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 1986

Wonderful deep and rich wine. This is in great shape. Dark plum and blakcurrant with iron and bloody intensity. Great tension and complexity. So fresh. This is great — 17 days ago

Château Pichon-Longueville Baron

Le Pauillac de Pichon Longueville Red Bordeaux Blend 1989

Drinking even more beautifully than 18 months ago. Beautiful nose, big fruits, and that whole cigar leaf thing going on, with hints of chocolate. But the reward here is the generously long finish. Wow! — a month ago

Château Fortia

Cuvée du Baron Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2018

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Beautiful nose of red fruits with earth, light wood, coffee, spices, dark chocolates and peppercorn.

Medium bodied with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, cooked cherries, spices, chocolates, light oak and licorice.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This 8 year old GSM blend from Châteauneuf-du-Pape is delicious now. Complex, well balanced and entertaining. Elegant and fruit forward.

I had the 2020 vintage not too long ago, and this one drinks so much better.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.

Robert Parker 93 points.

Easy drinking and good by itself as a sipping wine.

A blend of 40% Grenache, 40% Syrah and 20% Mourvedre. Aged in large French oak barrels for 18 months.

15% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

$55.
