Cuvée du Baron Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend

Tonight a bit of #Rhone #wine - this Châteauneuf du Pape 2001 is pretty nice , rich, concentrate and rounded by time it please the palate !

ML and gang visit, outshined 2000 Tradition with more complexity

Another vintage bottle from the old wineshop. I won’t even tell you how little I paid for this.Still had good color and good fruit. Yummy.

Terrific nose of earth and stones and damp leaves. Acidic yet round body. Long good finish. Like a good CdP. Still drinking like a fresh wine but fruit mostly resolved.

Loser in the showdown but made a good fight. Astringent but held on to a little fruit.
