Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2020

Tough and compact. Just ripe crunchy strawberries and soaring complex aromatics. One to lay away, but massive potential. — 16 days ago

Beautiful, engaging nose. Full bloom, pink & red roses, cherry hard candy, layered, soft spice, dark cherries, strawberries, raspberries, light herbal notes, hint of bubble gum.

Pretty, ripe, juicy palate. Fruits are light; raspberries, cherries, strawberries and blackberries & black raspberry hues. Wet river stone, dry limestone powder, more pronounced dark, dry tannins, dry herbs, dark spice with some heat, light, dry tobacco notes, barrel dust, bright red & pink roses, magnificent acidity with a very pleasant elegant, polished finish that lands on spice and lasts 90 seconds.

Really good value and one to pick up.

Always a solid standby- just rich enough, balanced. But many times left with the idea that if it was just a touch more complex it would be epic. But really, it’s more than good enough, it’s amazing. — a month ago

Albe Barolo Nebbiolo 2017

Red fruit and thyme nose. Raspberry (and leaf) roasted vegetables (in a good way) white pepper with tannins at the edges. Opens nicely. Great pairing with lamb pasta. TBL — 14 days ago

Thanks for the feedback. I bought the model 6. So far have not used it for long term preservation. More to be able to enjoy a couple wines over the course of a week. Even then I notice changes an reds. And when I reach the bottom third of a bottle I will just pull the cork.

I also find the cartridges stupid expensive, though. If only I could rig my own argon tank!

I’ve seen recommendations to buy a thinner needle for the times you might want to store a sampled bottle for a long time. But I do tend to see it as good for short term preservation, not for periods of months.

Nose shows; roses, baseball card bubble gum, maraschino cherries, strawberries, raspberries, light river stone & top soil.

On the palate, very light, dry, micro tannin presence, crushed limestone powder, cherries, strawberries, raspberries, black tea, some bubble gum, some barrel shavings, dry tobacco hues, understated light spice, red & pink roses, rainfall acidity with a juicy, pleasant finish that lingers for a full minute.

Pleasant and easy to drink.
