Very good. Benefit of Covid due to excess previously vineyard designates included in this wine. Vineyards like: Bedrock, Nervo, Sodini, Evangelho, Katushas, Teldeschi, Pagani, Old Hill, and Enz!!!!!!!!! — 4 years ago
pale yellow; aromatic, yellow apple, peach, white flowers, vanilla biscuit, lees; citrus, stone fruit, minerality; medium body, medium acidity, 13.8% ABV; made from 45% Sémillon from Monte Rosso Vineyard, 33% Muscadelle from Pagani Ranch and Saitone Ranch, 22% Palomino from Saitone Ranch, vineyards planted between 1886 and 1920; $28 — 5 years ago
Only showing some slight age on the palate. Color is still dense and deep with a clear rim. A very interesting wine and one I couldn’t have guessed at all. — 3 months ago
Black & blue fruits, sage & spice. Hint of brine. Could rest another 2-4 years... — 5 years ago
Of the handful of Geyserville vintages I have had, back to 03, this is my favorite. I decanted for 2.5 hours, and it continued to evolve over a couple of hours. This deserves more time in the cellar, but whatever. Dark, brambly black and red fruit, black licorice, white pepper, baking spices, & clove on the nose (with none of the meaty, soy sauce flavors the 2015 Pagani Ranch had recently). The oak is there for sure but it suits the wine. Explosively flavorful... I look forward to seeing how this taste in the future. Great Father’s Day bottle! — 5 years ago
lemon yellow, watery rim; perfumed, apricot, mango, lemon peel, Gardenia; medium body, good acidity, 14% ABV; blend of 45% Malvasia Bianca sourced from Catie’s Corner Vineyard in RRV, 30% old vine Tocai Friulano from Pagani Ranch in Sonoma Valley, and 25% Ribolla Gialla from Tanya’s Vineyard in RRV; 24 hours of skin contact for the Malvasia, 12 hours for the Tocai and the Ribolla, followed by light pressing and native fermentation in puncheons of which 20% were new, made by Italian winemaker Enrico Bertoz from Alto Adige; reminiscent of white blends of Friuli; $26 — 4 years ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple of hours. The 2016 Pagani Ranch pours a deep ruby with near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with light staining and some signs of sediment. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of red and black brambles, toasted coconut, dill, wood, baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and tart. This is in a lovely spot yet, it still exhibiting quite a bit of freshness so I expect this will be quite long-lived. Drink now through 2031+. — 18 days ago
