Black cherry rim to rim. Rayon and linseed, baker’s chocolate, eucalyptus, graphite, peppercorn, applewood, dried mint, plum and black currant simplify the aromatics. Surprising fruit with juicy black currant, bits of blackberry, and black cherry meat. Graphite speckled, but fruit led. Pepper, cinnamon, clove and rosemary, black olive, cranberry, and tart red currant.

Rich amber color. Smoky, fresh asphalt, ocean spray, Asian pear aromas. Wet moss, peat, green apples, oyster shells, applewood smoked bacon. Complex, with a decent finish. Very nice. — 6 years ago
Blood-ruby, undiluted tenor from rim to rim. Blackberry-cran with a smoky coat, violets, raspberry reduction, wild nettle, suede, rose petal, dried cherry, applewood, and gingerly ginger, spare cedar, finest snuff, cherry pit and damp clove spiced nose. All with a slight memory of campfire. Black plum, cedar, violet, dried, sour cherry, dark leather, peppercorn, dried cranberry and red currant, cinnamon apple, fine, grippy tannins that integrate into the whole with a pleasing sense of herbs and bitters, sage and lavender. Did not expect this complexity from carignan, and floral notes that evoke like Nebbiolo. Class. .

Luv this Cab! A beautiful deep purple magenta color. Big aromatic notes: Blue-red fruits with a blackberry lift and a touch of perfume followed by herbaceous and meaty smoked applewood. OMG — yummy! Nice structure where the flavors and the feel of the wine is creamy, a bit jammy and coats the palate. Flavors of dark cherry fruit , milk chocolate, minerals and pencil lead with second notes of spice, cassis adding to its espresso long finish. — 2 years ago

Applewood, poached pear, maple syrup and pecans with black lime, ginger lemon-honey, orange bitters, rosemary, baked sweet potatoes oozing créme fraîche, brown sugar and caramel. It’s a noseful! Hot, herbaceous mouthful on the coat. Warm maduro-caramel turns noir in the slanted chiaroscuros of toffee and brittle, respectively. Big lemon citrus with orange zest, banana bread, sage, allspice, mace, cedar, pipe tobacco puff, black raisin, with a svelte acid streak running the length of a generous satin mouthfeel. Impossible value here. Darkest brown patched with bubbles as lichens. Magnificent and noble head of sable; loose cartography of lacing. Brown sugar, dark, grainy malt and leather that all turns smoky with a swirl. Dry tobacco whiffs and roasted beets and grilled sprouts and caramelized onion. Light of touch in autumn woods, with applewood, cedar and late afternoon shadows of vanilla bean, caramel thread counts, clove smoke, and light malts to nicely bundle and button the parcel. Great Thanksgiving wine! Dried cherries, rose petal, gum Arabic, cedar-Saigon cinnamon-oak, elderberry, currant, nutmeg, blueberries. Black pepper on entry softens to black and red cherry with lavender and violet. A touch of cherrywood a smaller touch of applewood, a minute touch of hickory and a nano shaving of mesquite. Laden with inlay. Sour blackberry finish speckled with lingonberries and myrrh.

1hr+ decant. Lovely purple, dark red color. Amazing nose of cigar box, dark cherries, and ever so subtle green elements. Wine was deep and chewy to start with a touch of vanilla and oak at the end, which wasn’t out of place at all! It did start to fade towards the end or I would have been @ 96. Reminded me of all those great Bordeaux’s we drank in London!! Finish was medium plus. Paired lovely with mustard and applewood marinated ribs. — 5 years ago
The Felino Malbec is a full bodied deep colored and a bold presence of berry, acidity and tannins that satisfy and linger on the finish. Paired nicely with applewood smoked sirloin cooked in a Kamaro cooker. This Malbec will work as a Conversation wine or with grilled meats. — 7 years ago
2013 vintage. Tulips, ripe cherries in tree, raspberry essence. Holly and spearmint apparently had a winter tryst under a spray of delicate cranberry blossom. Pickled strawberry and dry pinecone emerge from a smoky cave, there is a citrus whiff, from a nighttime grove ringed by oregano. Light mouthfeel with electric potential. Subtleties abound. 2009. Fresh from my COMA (can’t opine much anymore), I am greeted by the opulence of sauce Périgueux over smoked applewood bacon wrapped top sirloin. Four black truffles gave themselves to the dicing knives to achieve the feat. Purple Black and cloaked in sooty tar. Rings of pipe tobacco brooding. An olfactory, fungal, tor impudicus waving its spongey menace. Candied currants, bursting blackberry, dessicate plum, and dark earth beneath the litter of the fall. Braised offal. Coffee rye. Tart and black cherry punctuate the entry of swift and silken shadow overwhelming palate. One’s heart is black but this is blacker. Baked blackberry jus.
