A delightful, balanced Riesling with two decades of age. Sweet perfume of stone fruits and flowers, with a hint of sought after petrol. Amazing that such an age-worthy white is so reasonably priced. 10.5% ABV. Enjoyed the 2006 vintage with a lovely Chicken Francese from Vittorio’s in Pacific Palisades. — 6 months ago

This is budweiser copper lager. Its new.
The ads say its in collaboration with Jim Beam to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the end of prohibition.
Brewed with old bourbon staves, (popular with some craft brewers) it is definitely
unique.
Dark amber color, short head, tastes of caramel and vanilla
.made with 2 row barley (the most robust), and high alcohol at 6.2%.
The introduction of this brew competes with traditional October fest beers. Marketing genius! — 8 years ago

1997 vintage. Last tasted 9.4.25 (9.2). This time, tasted with @Pinotman /// Andreas. Nice fill and good cork (no Durand needed). Light-medium body. 12% ABV. Some lighter, barely-sweet petrol flavor but limoncello impressions started to take the stage and sing like the headliner. Really intriguing and fascinating as a “dry” Auslese. Should be able to perform at this clip for another 4-5 years. No April Fools joke here. 5 bottles left at $80 a pop. 4.1.26. — 3 months ago
