Alma De Cattleya

Finca Las Moras

Alma Mora Malbec 2022

Slight fruity smell and a great taste, not sweet but not dry. In my opinion a well balanced red wine to accompany any moment. — 3 months ago

Cuvée Number One Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2021

2021 vintage. Syrah body on a pinot. Medium-heavy body. Big with both fruit and structure. Would like to taste again in 4-7 years to see how much body has thinned out. 2.7.24. — 9 months ago

Soberanes Vineyard Syrah 2013

2013 vintage. Medium/medium-heavy body. Tons of color. Spicy nose. Earth and dark fruited flavors alongside a hint of bacon fat and smoke. Brooding. Powerful. Could go for another decade easy but drinking great right now. 5.23.24. — 6 months ago

Jonata Winery

El Alma de Jonata Ballard Canyon Cabernet Franc Blend 2006

2006 vintage. 426 cases produced, 3rd vintage from Jonata. Good fill and excellent (if slightly dry) cork. Decanted with little sed and tasted after 2.25 hours. Whiffable, earthy nose. Light-medium body. Tremendous, dark cherry concentration flavor-wise. A token offering of richness perceived just behind the front teeth on the roof of the mouth/palate. Instructive. 7.6.24. — 4 months ago

Familia Zuccardi

Alma 4 Chardonnay

Extremely compelling. If you could convince people here to shell that kind of money for Argentina fizz, it would be worth twice the price. White stone fruit, delicate florals, lengthy acid with some, rounded by a good press quality — 6 months ago
