Beautiful light brick, really opened up in the glass — 3 months ago
Aging a little quickly, not much fruit left, but lots of interesting earthy notes and great concentration. — 4 months ago
@Estiatorio Milos in Miami enjoying this lovely Sancerre with our Dover Sole and Branzino. This has got to be the lightest, feathery Sancerre we’ve ever had. Sancerre is my favorite for many reasons. Just a beautiful wine for any time of year but beckons you to the beach and a warm breeze. — 2 years ago
Just a gorgeous nose. Sweet, ripe but never treacly cherries. Mid season. Birthday cake. Cranberry skin. Poised and detailed. Wow this is a 9.6 nose. So nimble yet expressive. Huge finesse and refinement and that classic 21 achy beauty. My goodness this is so elegant. Barely any tannin and needs some time to develop but this is very fine. Palate is complex and so fine. Juicy and so clean. Unreal pitter patter of a finish. — 5 days ago
An enjoyable vintage, even if it’s not a top vintage, it still portrays typical P-C. Always enjoyable. Drinking very well with just a short decant. — 7 months ago

I took this bottle from my cellar to a friend who just received his complete allocation of 2022 Wendouree. We obviously compared this 2011 Shiraz Mataro with the latest 2022. If this exercise proved one thing that was that any cuvée of Wendouree should not be opened at under 10 years of age. The 2011 had a gorgeous nose of blackberry, liquorice and spice…..intoxicating! Whereas the 2022 was as tight as a drum…giving very little. The palate was fluid and smooth with those same aromatics coming through on the palate with that amazing old vine opulence and persistence. I had my first bottle back in August 2022. Notes are here on Delectable. — a month ago
Guessed this as a 2018 white burg. A successful blind by all accounts! Ripe, lush Chardy fruit (even a touch of pineapples) and excellent quality oak, all wrapped in a lively, saline package. Deceptively light at the start, but air does bring out quite a bit of texture and power. For me, certainly a wine of its soil (white clay on limestone) and vintage, once revealed. Delicious, although I did find it a tad heavy at the end of the night. — 2 years ago

Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (78%), Petite Verdot (6%), Carmenere (6%), Cabernet Franc (5%) and Syrah (5%). Dark ruby color. Aromas of blue and black fruit, slate, and cedar wood. There was also a slight hint of green pepper that blew off rather quickly. Flavors of ripe blue and black berries/cherries, dark chocolate, roasted nuts, and caramel. Touch of Asian spice on the long and persistent finish. Nicely balanced and quite fresh. Powerful and complex, but quite elegant at the same time. Appreciate the bottle, Kase. — 15 days ago
