Certainly one of the absolute best 1er crus in Chassagne, 2018 La Romanée from Dancer is superb tonight, of Grand Cru quality and particularly exceptional for the vintage. It’s bouquet is layered with ripe stone fruit, white flowers, toasted hazelnut and attractive reduction and its deeply concentrated palate has incredible vibrancy and lift, totally in focus and elegantly textured, giving way to a notably long mineral inflicted finish. Fantastic bottle. — 9 days ago
Expressive & rich yet with amazing purity & depth. Yellow stone fruit, fresh hazelnut, fresh pastry dough, a whiff of stoniness. So fresh and yet so complex.
On the palate this has an amazing mouthfeel, starts of typically broad but quickly shows focus, precision, depth. Amazing energy, a light tannic touch, energetic acidity. Really good length, too.

Very enjoyable. Nose has vibrant, sappy dark cherry juice, a bit of sweet spice, and warm, crushed-rock infused minerality and a little teeny bit of cow pasture. Savory, with nice flavor concentration in the mouth, nice minerality and zingy acids at the tail end of the finish. Whispy tannins. So drinkable now, but will be better in 2-4. — 9 days ago

Light gold color, youthful appearance in the glass. Great CC nose with notes of citrus, ginger, reddish clay, wet stones and tan spice. Fruit still very present, matched against some fine-grained acidity. Awesome mouth feel. I know some of these can go south sooner rather than later, but this was right in the zone - youthful with plenty of energy. Great showing tonight. — 8 days ago
