An explosion of apricot flavor. Round and smooth, heavy weight, with sufficient but not overt acidity. A beautiful sweet wine. — 16 days ago

Lightly sweet but surprisingly tart with green apple and under ripe pineapple over a touch of citrus and acacia — 6 days ago
At Cindy’s with Fing. Mistaken bottle. Golden color, clearly aged with touch of oxidation but lots of complex aromatics. Excellent — 15 days ago
2017 Ravine White Springs Vineyard Dry Riesling (Finger Lakes). Nine years old and still seems youthful. Great nose of zesty Granny Smith and slightly unripe Cortland apples and lots of high-toned stony minerality. Palate is concentrated and intense, lots of crisp acid to balance the deep fruit and intense stones. Lipsmackingly delicious. 9.3 (This is a re-post because @Delectable Wine deep-sixed the original) — a month ago

Crisp delicious, drink on a hot day chilled. Buy more — 3 months ago
it’s interesting because this bottle was not properly kept for several years, the cork fell apart upon opening, but this 1983 vintage ,was still delightfully good ! in spite of the improperly kept history, as a Sauturne. It has a nice delightful, sweet and aromatic taste that was quite pleasant to drink. It was open today, March 22, 2026. — 4 months ago
Mid lemon in colour. Aromatics of yellow peach and slate. Touch of smoke. Great palate intensity - not overly sweet for an Auslese - only 8% ABV. Jancis said “a floral explosion on the palate “ and I cannot disagree. I don’t drink a lot of sweet wine without dessert but this was most enjoyable - a great accompaniment to chicken liver pate with crackers. Acidity particularly at the first taste still very much present. — a month ago

Six bottles drink between 2008 and 2026 with early notes showing a beautiful balance of sweet fruit, acidity and slate minerality. Sadly, bottles opened ‘24 and ‘26 had bad corks and slight oxidation. Rating for early bottles if you’re lucky enough to have some and the corks are intact. — 5 days ago
