Graf Morillon 2018

I don’t even have formal tasting notes for this because it was so delicious I couldn’t stop drinking it. One of the best bottles of Chardonnay I’ve ever had. Epic drinkability and geek-ability (if you choose to take a deeper look). — a month ago

Morillon Blanc Vin de Pays d'Oc Chardonnay Blend 2016

Ron R

Hailing from Languedoc, this white has a similar profile to that of a Rhoné white blend. No idea of the blend, but the nose presents honey, apricot and dried herbs. The palate suggests that viognier is in the mix. Big notes of lychees and passion fruit are bold and strong, along with the oak, which I consider to be a little too prominent. Acidity is lacking, and this comes across a little too smooth. Still a good effort, just dial back on the oak treatment. — a year ago

Sgaminegg Südsteiermark Chardonnay Sauvignon Blanc

Mildly oxidized, gorgeously integrated Morillon/Sauvignon Blanc half-half, so brilliantly balanced and contemplative. Zero sulfur. Finally understand “clear and precise” as wine descriptors. — a year ago

Muster Graf Morillon 2011

Needed to warm up a bit but once open was wonderful. Slightly cloudy unfiltered appearance, toasty orchard fruit with a bit of lemon and tarragon. Learned later that Morillon = Chard but totally different from a white burg or Cali chard or anything else really — 3 years ago
