Coming from my cellar in Italy
Antonio Pulcini the winemaker is a lovely fellow that lives in a marvellous property on the hills south of Rome.
He found when relatively young bottles made by his dad 30 years earlier still delicious and decided to reproduce them somehow.
It took him a while, but the wines have absolutely no similar examples in the area.
The wine is bright gold with straw shade
When it reaches room temperature gives its best on the nose with mandarin, grapefruit, an array of herbs and flowers. Hay, cheese, wet stones, marzipan and quite an oxidative personality.
The palate is fresh, soft and extremely long.
Probably the vines this wine was made from have been replaced too. Fascinating too say in one word. — 10 days ago

Amazing Vermentino, one of the best from Liguria or anywhere! — a month ago
Wow!! Insane nose. Big and I mean massive caramel and intermingled with dead leaves. Gorgeous spice. Wowza spice. Man this is an aroma to be reckoned with. So deep and so expansive and explosive. Apricot. Fresh yet deep and big time hedonistic. Wow, what viscosity. OMG this is so rich and yet so fresh. This has Bergman “scenes from a marriage” tension! Wow. This is tense! So long, exotic and opulent. What a finish. This is a joy to drink. Stunning. Crazy. Just crazy. — 2 days ago
Happy Father’s Day. Pop and pour Tig full of rustic elegance. Deep garnet color with notes of wet forest, tobacco, blackberry, plum, leather, and wet earth. Additional chocolate and oak notes on the pallet. Smooth as velvet, on the bolder side (definitely full bodied); dry with medium acidity, medium alcohol and smoothed out tannings. Cheers. — 3 days ago
Light, crisp and refreshing on the palate. Nutty and somewhat herbal. — 11 days ago
Nose is metallic tomato. Some interesting spice. As it opens starts to get beautiful. 1 hour in cinnamon. With pine.
Palate is tomato. Spice. bizarre. As it opens. Starts to get this beautiful elegance. Tomato goes away. Becoming delicious. — an hour ago
Deep nose of dark berry fruits, dark cherry fruits and chunky earth and wet soil. Somewhat refined which is unusual for MDA. Palate is super concentrated and sleek. Good purity and concentration. Terrific refinement. Velvety tannins and superb finesse. Lovely tiny berry fruit intensity and length. Like if one of the polished traditional Rhone guys (Durand, Tunnel) made MDA. Lovely stuff and lots of upside. Gets more rustic and charming while retaining its sleek fruit. Stoney tannins. Very ripe. Terrific. — 5 days ago
