Nice. Light. Very drinkable — 16 days ago
@Severn Goodwin doesn’t know I lifted this from his cellar. Far too pricey for a Rose.
As different as the most considered typical Rose.
Splendid but, if you are expecting Bandol or new world, this is probably not for you.
I entitled this bottle shot, Roses for Rasado.
Notes of sherry, vermouth, rhubarb, concentrated British tea sack. Geraniums & pink Roses. Gravel powder, dry top soil, burnt, brown sugar, blood orange, underripe pink grapefruit, dry floral bouquet. Excellent, well balanced finished.
Crazy good change of pace.
Top photos from my 2015 visit. Great historical stop in Haro. — 17 days ago
Expressive nose, well handled oak, red fruit a d spices, med bodied and fine acid. — 21 hours ago
Textbook Rioja. Very approachable with a inky purple color; black cherry, dried leaves, cedar on the nose. Some blackberry and sour cherry on the fore pallet followed by wet gravel and woodsmoke. Bold and dry for sure with medium plus acidity and alcohol. Tannings are edgy and the finish is adequate. Again a classic Rioja wine. — 4 days ago
Medium to deep ruby; medium intensity aromas of red and black fruit, red plum, sweet and sour plum sauce, vanilla, cedar; dry, medium acid, high rough tannins, high alcohol, full body, medium plus intensity flavors consistent with aromas; wine really blooms as it opens up, very classic example of a young Rioja — 11 days ago

Me likey. Battle brothersia pelatessa oikein sujahti. — 9 days ago
Just love this wine, just gets better and better. Deep Ruby with an elegant bouquet of berry fruits, light spice with earthy tones, a traditional Rioja. On the palate, the wine was silky smooth with layers of flavors, berry and cherry, tobacco, smoky cedar, dark fruit, vanilla spice, very well balanced with fine tannins and a clean structure ending with a nice long finish with earthy and leathery notes. Delicious! Still has room to age. — 4 days ago
Never heard of Tempranillo Blanco. Is that a grape? Golden, straw colored. Smells like Albariño or a French Rhone type white. Honey, sweet baked goods, sage, carrot seeds and oak. Flavors are strange and unfamiliar. Crisp, zesty, with a streak of tart green apple. Some honey, but not sweet at all. Just a hint of that CA chard stuff with the oak flavors. But it’s not really like any white I can place. Most resembles Rhone white blends. It’s a fun wine to try, and it’s nice. Complex and just a bit funky. — 14 days ago
