2020 vintage. Branaire Ducru is always a good idea, and so is the second wine Duluc de Branaire Ducru ( and not Château Duluc as the app suggests). A blend of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, 5,5% Cabernet Franc, and 1,5% Petit Verdot . The nose is a bit closed initially, with some air black and red fruit, lead pencil, and flowers appear. An elegant style, accessible now, but I am sure it will benefit from a few more years in the bottle.Abv. 13%. — 8 days ago

Had the 2018 on Easter Sunday, 2026. Let it decant for close to two hours. Full body, silky smooth tannins with hints of cocoa, blackberry, raspberry and a hint of vanilla. Had a touch of leather near the end. Was really tasty. Was a gift from our kids and absolutely fantastic with dinner this evening. — 12 days ago

Actually deeper colour than the 1962 and 1959 . Slightly more medicinal nose , touch of swimming pool , lightly herbal with some dried fruit . On the palate this has a drier profile , darker dried fruit , slightly astringent acidity and quite gritty , rustic tannins . Slightly dry on the mid palate , but good earthy tobacco notes . Quite dense and robust , showing good backbone and body . Reasonable length , with earthy , gritty finish . Quite dense and structured. Not elegant but quite impressive for a 76 year old wine . Now and over the next 5 or more years , though obviously won’t improve. — 14 hours ago
