The Syrah (Santa Barbara County) is bold and punchy, with lovely floral top notes that add lift. Blue/purplish fruit, clovers, leather and a dash of black pepper all run through this racy, layered Syrah. This is even better than it was last year. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, September 2023)

On with ABC. Five year old chard this time. Not as crisp as it’s younger counterparts and aging a little better than expected. There’s exuberant pineapple on the nose, palate, and finish, somehow it works… Not overpowering but refreshing, like pineapple shaved iced from childhood… High acidity, medium alcohol, slightly oaky and beginning to show sings of integration. Cheers. — a month ago
This 2029 is elegance in a bottle. One of the most feminine, lithe Grenache’s I’ve ever had. An almost indescribable mid palate. Like a ruby with a thousand facets. Wonderful soothing lingering black tea finish. — a month ago
RP and Co. jacked up this Syrah. It’s ok, but wifey and I feel that this is nowhere near the 97 RP lavished upon it. They must have suffered the ID-I0T error. Better Syrah’s are everywhere. Thankfully we only purchased one bottle. Nothing much to see here… — 3 months ago
