Fratelli Dogliani

Francesco Boschis

Sori San Martino Dogliani Superiore Dolcetto 2019

Deep purple in color (I can only see light through the edges of the glass); cassis, black cherries, and graphite on the nose; medium acidity; high tannins; tastes like raspberries, blackberries, hibiscus, wet gravel, and a hint of black pepper with a long fruity finish. I love this wine. Nellie doesn't Iike it. — 20 days ago

Gramolere Barolo Nebbiolo 2017

Love Alessendria’s Barolos. Totally ready to drink but will keep for another 15 to 20 years. Cherries, Currants and licorice. Very soft tannins with typical Nebbiolo bite at the back palate. — a month ago

Monvigliero Barolo Nebbiolo 2013

Incredibly smooth and highly perfumed modern barolo. Drinks beautifully now, the Nebbiolo character comes true in the after burn. Will be interesting how this develops over the next 10 years. Incredibly fine tannins. — 2 months ago

Barolo Nebbiolo 2013

Generally like this producer but this is my second bottle of the 2013 and both have been somewhat disappointing. Lighter in the glass, but even with a long decant the tannins are pretty dusty. Just doesn’t quite come together. — 3 months ago
