Chain Bridge Cellars. Nice, dry sparkling rose. — 19 days ago
On this Sunday night the start of a new work week I have opened the 2019 Domaine de Triennes Rosé. This wine comes from Nans-les-Pins, France located between Marseilles and Toulon North of Bandol. This is a blend of mainly Cinsault with smaller amounts of Grenache, Syrah and Merlot.
On the nose I am getting red rasberry, cherry, tangerine, pomegranate, red currant, musky melon snd floral notes.
On the palate there is raspberry, tart cherry, strawberry, nectarine, a spiciness and good minerality.
This wine is pale pink onion skin in color, light to medium bodied with medium + acidity tuat moves into a long crisp fresh citrus finish. We are looking at a new week ahead and I wish everyone a safe and healthy prosperous week. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 19 days ago
Vin rouge proche d'un côte du Rhône. Too en apéritif — 4 days ago
Nose has blackberry, moist garden soil, wet leather, dry 🐄 pasture, mashed black cherry, green pepper slices, oak bark and dry crushed rock.
Palate has blueberry-blackberry juice, dried black mulberry, moist-dried cranberry, moist earthy soil and dry leather. Medium tannins, light acidity with a long finish. Our first aged, red Provence wine, likely not to be our last. Future bottles may be 2024-28+ in proper storage.
A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache & Syrah; percentage distribution unknown. — 7 days ago
Surprisingly quaffable Bandol rosé... the edgy Mourvèdre notes are here, blood orange rind, garrigue, bright acidity. But the balancing blend introduces softer melon notes that makes this more accessible on release than other Bandols I’ve tried (Tempier, etc), and at a 30% discount as well. Nice! — 4 days ago
Good rosé. It's sweet and light, good for a hot day. — 11 days ago
I love Rosè from Provence and this is delicious with a few years on it! Presents with a gorgeous light orange/cantaloupe color. Flavors of honeydew, cantaloupe, nectarines papaya and soft minerals! Medium bodied with a decent long finish! First time sampling this wine; a local find and would seek this again. — 9 days ago
Popped and poured at La Buvette. Dark garnet with an opaque core. No visual signs of age. Consumed over three hours. Initially reticent but after about 30min, it started to show off. On the nose, dark cherries and cocoa. On the palate, dark chocolate cherry cordial, espresso and baking spices. Tannins built up over time and there’s fantastic acidity. Lovely stuff and seems built for the long haul. A super Bandol on the heels of Tempier and Pradeaux. — 5 days ago
