Standard strong, bright, right hook from this Bordeaux. Very solid. — 5 months ago
Mr. Wright recommended! A winner! — a month ago
Beautifully deep claret with tight tannins that required a good 1-2 hours of decanting to unlock the wine’s texture. The blend is darker fruit with an outwardly apparent Cabernet Franc element that brings violets on the nose and blackberry and brambles on the palette. At or near its peak with a lot of longevity remaining. — 2 months ago
Cool wine. Long ageing (7 years). Complex but kind of flat on the mouthfeel. Not a wine for everyone. — 4 months ago
A distinct shade of medium old gold with with persistent little bubbles. The nose is resplendent with apples of the green variety. An abundance of citrus scents along with yeast and a touch of nuttiness. Just a bit of smeared honey aromas goes a long way here.
Biodynamic and beautiful. Zero dosage and aged for six years, the strength here is balance and purity. Terroir driven and electric, this is an incisive and focused champagne. Composed of 85/15 Pinot Noir/Chardonnay and wonderfully dry. Lemons and dried herbs on the palate along with cherries and apples. Long and dry and lovely. — 6 months ago

Decanted for 3 hours before returning to the bottle prior to dinner. The 2008 pours a deep garnet color a with near opaque; medium+ with moderate staining and some signs of fine sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of dark plums, purple flowers, some green bell pepper, tobacco, graphite, leather, mint, and soft baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannins that are mostly integrated and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. A classy, perfectly matured Pomerol that was a lovely pairing with a Tomahawk ribeye. Drink now through 2033. Thanks Andy! — 23 days ago
