Few wines stop me cold. I've been fortunate to taste many of the best. And I've had other years of Clos du Val. This bottle os 1997 was one of those at its peak and at the right time experiences that got me. Powerful for a restained winery. I'm on to the 3rd hour now and am still excited. It was perfect with lamb osso bucco. So was it before and now after. Hard to say more than wow. Wish I had more. — 6 years ago

Wow what a treasure. Complex nose that holds throughout the wine. Elegant handling of all viognier. Not cloying. Full of long lasting flavor. Perfect for our haddock in a Spanish green sauce with toasted garlic. Still savoring my last glass. — 5 years ago
