2021 vintage. Decanted and passed, with high air, between two decanters four times. If it were Caymus, woulda used a blender and forgotten. Last tasted 8.5.26 (9.6) Older (60's, 70's and early 80's) vintages more fruit driven which is quite the surprise in the current Napa Cab climate. Arguably the best GDL Private Reserve this estate has ever made. That goes back six decades. Supple, velveteen entry without the temptations of appearing over-extended. Structured mid-palate. A seeker's wandering, yet undeniably substantial finish. Taste it and you tell me. — 16 days ago
This is a very nice wine. Enjoyed with a pork chop with cranberry glaze and friends. Light and delicate nose of fruit and terroir. The wine is nicely balanced with soft tannins, delicious acidity and works perfect! Enjoy!! — a month ago
Still going strong, slightly muted, but very impressive dark bramble bit of Troy integrated tannins brought the best out in my seared T-bone steak — 4 months ago
2020 vintage. 375 ml bottle. Tasted after 30 minutes open. Medium body. Some ripeness buttressed by remaining acidity. Had picked up 5 cases of this 2.75 years ago with a dearth of white Burgundy half bottles due to the truncated 2021 and 2022 vintages. Down to a case. Not a fave producer but they often deliver in the absence of other, potential offerings. Showing well currently. 5.31.26. — 5 months ago
Very elegant Cabernet from Washington. — 6 months ago
Very solid entry level (recently released) white Burgundy. Light yellow color with a few green highlights. Faint aromas of citrus and green orchard fruit, white flowers and raw nuts. Flavors of unripe peach, green apple, lemon zest, raw almonds and a hint of minerals. Medium length finish and bright acidity. Creamy and supple texture (Full Malo) and lively acidity. No sign of oak aging. Well balanced and versatile. Outstanding value. Thank you for the sample, Kase. — 2 days ago
Tasted blind. Again medium deep ruby with medium wide garnet rim . Again slightly aloof , showing a touch of herbaceous blackcurrant , mineral and slate notes . Probably the most closed of all coming back . Quite deep and rich again , mineral , blackcurrant, wet stones . Muscular tannins and balanced acidity , deep with a slight herbaceous touch on the decent finish . Latour ? Compared with the rest this is slightly pedestrian, even though it is still an excellent wine it’s not as thrilling as its Pauillac stablemates Lafite or Mouton. Perhaps needs even more time , come back in 5 years and will last well a further 10 -15. — 24 days ago
so much bang for the buck - reminds me of when southern Rhône used to be affordable... captivating wine: gorgeous dark ruby color, deep reservoir of black & red fruits, pepper, garrigue and exotic spices. Composed, graceful, med bodied palate, beautiful balance w/bright acidity carrying all the flavors thru long smooth finish — 2 months ago

Cherry red. Black Fruity matured. Good concentration. Black pepper is not much. Fermented flavor.

Pale yellow color with a few green highlights. Aromas of citrus zest, white flowers, chalk and raw nuts. Flavors of lemon/lime, peaches, nectarines and a bit of brioche. Medium-plus finish and a creamy texture from malolactic fermentation. No sign of oak aging. Pleasant texture and mouthfeel. Light bodied and bright with excellent purity of fruit. Some really great Chardonnays are coming out of the Maconnais. Appreciate the sample, Kase. — 2 days ago
rounded edges and plush. Pretty. A touch indistinct but in great shape given its age — 15 days ago

Reliably consistent introductory Red Burgundy. Bright garnet/ruby color. Aromas of fresh red fruit with hints of red flowers and subtle spices. Flavors of red berry fruit (strawberry, raspberry and currants) with additional flavors of red licorice, baking spices and earth. Long, crisp and fresh finish. No sign of oak aging. Medium bodied with a very silky tannin structure. Granted, it lacks the complexity of high end Red Burgundy, but this wine’s fruit forward simplicity is charming. There is a time and place for this easy drinker. Thanking Keith S and Ron B for sharing this bottle. — 8 days ago
