Aligoté ain’t Chardonnay but it shouldn’t be ignored either. Especially not when in the hands of a master. An explosive nose featuring apples and citrus immediately upon opening with violets and other floral accents. A touch of lemon peel and vanilla for good measure.
Punching well above its weight, this is a lovely wine that’s perfect pretty much anytime. Edgy with high acid and a ton of character, sans the deep complexity. Not for contemplation, for consuming. Fruity and generous on the palate. Smoke, apples, and dried herbs. This is not a bottle that lasts very long once it’s opened, so stock up. — 2 months ago
I was expecting something young and tight, but this was soft, elegant and nuanced. Very surprising and fun. — 3 months ago
Absolutely love this producer. Maybe the best in the entire Mâcon. The rully blanc is pure and citrus driven with a salinity that won’t quit. Oyster shells on the nose as well as essential oils. Turns out the rouge is ‘rully’ good as well! Bright red fruits on the nose,
Super clean and fresh with some width to it as well. These are priced like every night wines but deliver like something that is a real treat — 2 years ago
