Cheverny Rosé Pinot Noir Gamay 2019

“Watermelon pepper pickle juice Briney love cake”

“Ok, the aroma...hold on...the aroma is like they made really accurate smelly markers...to the tune of melon...and lemon...taste is like...watermelon jolly ranchers...with the delicacy of a Ladurée macaron”

Carbonic character is really kickin here. Beaujolais, but with more richness across the mid-palate. Bursting with ripe berry fruit, even a hint of blueberry which is cool. Started eating kalamata olives with it and it took the fruit to another level. Added a savoriness that it may have been lacking and just pushed it up a notch. Like the style, a well-made wine. — 14 days ago

Barsotti Vineyard Gamay Noir 2019

What I sip on after dinner as I procrastinate cleaning up after myself. An incredible example of what California Gamay can be: fresh, bright, poised, lean. Fresh raspberries, dried rose hips, pomegranate. From the famed Barsotti vineyard (sustainably farmed, granite soils ❤️) in El Dorado. — a month ago

@Jae Cho her wines aren’t distributed in New York yet (they were suppose to hit the market this year and then COVID happened 😩) Hopefully you’ll be seeing them soon! & yes her corks are the coolest and she is living the dream.

Château Philippe-le-Hardi

Clos Philippe-Le-Hardi Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune Chardonnay 2013

Deep golden color, slight oxidative notes come across as crushed hazelnuts. Quite a bit of oak influence up front, but very well integrated into the wine. The oak notes; toffee, salty caramel corn, and vanilla bean, are refreshed by the tart acidity, and welcome flavors of greek yogurt, lemon curd, and green apple. Excellent value for an aged white burgundy, and very well made. — 11 days ago
