Saint-Romain Pinot Noir 2009

While the color has faded a bit, this wine flavor wise is in a great place. Still has a lot of cherry, earthy ,herbal ness. Not sure how many more years this will last but it’s awesome today. I am a fan of this guy — 6 days ago

Tradition Vin de Savoie Mondeuse Noir

Beautiful Mondeuse, aerial, mineral, light and precise. Pepper, violets, weird spices... subtle and delicate. Super enjoyable!
A bit below my expectations, I have to say, due to the cult given to the winemaker....

Vouvray Demi-Sec Chenin Blanc 2010

2010 Vintage. 12% Alcohol. Lots of acidity makes it a good match for cheese apps. We had with drunken goat, truffle pecorino, Jarlsberg and Manchego. Same as prior notes. — a month ago

Bourgogne Blanc Chardonnay 2017

This wine totally surprised me- was way better than I expected. The wine has a nice opening - The body is nicely structured and the finish is wonderful and refreshing. This is a great all around sipper if you like acid forward with a vanilla dip at the end. — 12 days ago

Cayuse Vineyards

Cailloux Vineyard Syrah 2013

WNH virtual tasting. 13’ Cayuse Cailloux. From Christophe oldest vineyard. Black raspberry, Orange blossom, matchstick, touch of white flower crosses the palate. Fine tannins. Meat, coffee, green olives finish to it that lingers for upwards of a minute. Just a touch more expressive then the 12. Both 95+ points.
No need to wait, drinking now.

Domaine Christophe Blanc

Les Chênes Saint-Joseph Syrah 2018

Round and supple, with a very generous body on the usual notes of well-crafted Syrah: blackberries, blueberries, chocolate, roasting, caramel, tapenade, pepper, violet. The attack is fresh, and the finish not that long, but the whole is very mastery. The perfect wine for grilled meat, pepper or shallot sauce.
