This is a sensational bottle of old-vine Friulano, perfectly mature, combining freshness and nervosity (candied lime, pear, melon), dense exotic notes (tropical flowers, pine-apple, maracuja) and a gorgeously funky minerality (flint, wool, wet rocks).
Even better than the Friulanos from Miami that I tasted.

Such an interesting wine. Subtle, discreet and delicate but at the same time packed with flavour. White flowers and elderflower dominate but there is citrus and stone fruit present. Light woody notes and salty minerality round this off. Very balanced and nuanced wine. — 24 days ago
A deep golden straw color. Aromas of apricot and white peach. Give your glass a little time and swirling to introduce the aroma. The texture is rich, clean and smooth. On the nose (after time) are hints of almond and sickle pear. There is a suggestion of acidity which provides a balance. Excellent. — 16 days ago
Pretty concentrated ruby dress. Evolved nose evoking Burgundy. In the mouth a beautiful smoothness, concentration, between evolved notes and fruit still very lively. A pretty bottle full of refinement. It can be drunk on its own.
Can still age 5/10 years, maybe more.
— a month ago

What a disarming wine. It’s so fabulously affable and approachable that it’s hard to turn a serious eye to, yet it has a depth and complexity that lingers well beyond that soft and silken upfront charm. Plum, cocoa, stewed fruit, blackberry, delicate tobacco, supple tannin. Slips dangerously over the palate. Feels like it’s drinking in its prime and will linger here for several years at least. — 7 days ago
