Fruity aroma. Concentrated. Smooth. Still tannic. More years or decanting makes it much better. 2009. @2400, Kping - PEnoteca, 230601-230729 — 6 months ago
Hope I’ve selected the correct wine.
Birthday celebration for my soulmate. Cristal always delivers.
Coming up to room temp. Warm bread notes on the nose and palate. Balance personified on the mid palate. Soft bubbles combine with apples and mild peach. Grossly understated. Love it… — a month ago

Dark ruby in color with a reddish/ brick rim.
Nose of blackberries, black currants, cooked cherries, cedar, cola, vanilla, spices, espresso, light herbs, dark chocolates, tobacco, peppercorn, light alcohol and leather.
Full bodied and elegant with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black plums, figs, tobacco, cedar, leather, vanilla, licorice, spices, herbs, coffee, chocolates and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a fabulous Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Well balanced with a great mouthfeel. Complex and interesting. Elegant, rich and fruit forward.
This 14 year old is drinking very nicely right out of the bottle, and better with air. Tannins show up after 2 hours in the decanter, and bring in nice structure.
Thank you Scott for sharing this with me.
Does not drink like a 14 year old at all, and feels much younger. Will continue to age nicely in the next few years. Feels like it is nearing its peak. Would be nice to revisit it in 3 years.
Good by itself or with food. A great sipping wine to have with good friends. This is a gorgeous wine.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were aged in (85% new) French oak barrels for 16 months.
15.2% alcohol by volume.
94 points.

Sitting on the precipice of primary and tertiary. Still has bright fruit notes with high acidity and just enough tannins that it would still pair well with food. But it also has forest floor, mossy stone, leather, cigar box. It will probably age longer knowing Mussar, but this wine has definitely hit its stride and is absolutely singing right now. — 3 months ago
Drank 6/20/23
Nose of blackberry, leather, earth, and a bit of cocoa. Blackberry, raspberry, cocoa nib, and earthy flavors backed by full, but well integrated tannins. Finish goes on for well over a minute. Entering its drinking window now, but should hold on for several years.

From a 6 liter bottle opened and then poured into several pitchers - decanters. This wine was fantastic to celebrate dad’s 70th birthday with the entire extended family.
Good fruit and nice depth to it. Easy to drink and paired well with chateaubriand, penne alla vodka and eggplant parm. — 11 days ago
