Big boy! Rich and opulent, lots of currant, cassis, a little sweet soil and a big mouthfeel.

In a nice drinking window. The tannins have settled. The fruit and oak flavors are complimenting each other well.

Coconut nose, a tad bitter. Wouldn't spend another $90 dollars for this garbage, son.

Great cab. Best I've had in a long time.

Earthy, rich scent and bold, complex flavor. Pairs well with steak.

Always a reliable taste profile. They seem to never score really high. They definitely craft to a particular style and not to illustrate what the fruit did that year. I haven't had the 12 or 13 it will be neat to see if they step it up a notch.
It's very good but I can't say it's great. However., for some reason it's still my wife's favorite!! Lol

First time trying #silveroak and it was really disappointing. First aromas I got were dill, coconut, vanilla, and butter. Behind the obnoxious amount of new American oak lied a wine that lacked structure and was quite bitter. For such a big wine this was really watery on the mid and back palate. #napavalley #cabernetsauvignon #whoops
