Strong alcohol on the nose. Higher tannin, very drying. Medium-light bodied. Good acidity. Low fruit, more nutty — 4 days ago
2022 vintage. Dark red, much deeper colour than usual for this estate. Marie-Laure Lurton seems to have gone for a bit more extraction in this exceptional vintage. More powerful than usual, with a fresh black fruit personality, embedded in a tight, ripe tannic structure. Serious length too. Decanting recommended,as it showed better the next day. Ab. 14%. — 16 days ago
Medium deep ruby. Quite thin ruby , garnet rim . Touches of cedar , sous bois , grafite , touch of cassis , sea spray, a little green perhaps . On the palate quite dry , cassis , sous bois and grafite touches . Balanced alcohol with slightly dry tannin . Slightly short, but balanced enough and in a good place now . Drink now and over next few years — 18 days ago
Delicate and elegant older Margaux. Refined use of oak, fresh currant and some lightly stewed fruits. Dusty but nevertheless a wine with enough roundness. Gifted to me 16 years ago, a treat now. — 10 days ago
Medium Ruby with quite wide garnet rim. More truffle , tobacco , violet , cassis and earthy notes. Takes a bit of time to get going and certainly shows a bit more age than the 2009. On the palate, more austere with dryer tannin than the 2009 , but very well balanced and classic in style . Cassis, blackcurrant , tobacco graphite notes . Some dry spices too . Quite fresh acidity , and slightly gritty tannin. Long , saline, graphite tinged finish. This is showing some development , but will improve further over the next 5 possibly 10 years and hold well a further 5-10 — 17 days ago
Blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot, second wine of Château Paveil de Luze, aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, 25% new, deep Ruby with aromas of red berry fruits and cedar pepper spice. On the palate flavors of black fruits, currants and spicy notes. Lively acidity, fine tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, cacao and spicy oak. Drinking well now! — 19 days ago
Nice balanced tannins, didn't pull too much at the tongue. Felt almost silky and luxurious. Had a touch of that quality I love that I think might be complexity/aging. Not a 10/10 wine but a very good wine I definitely enjoyed. Opened up nicely into more of that luxurious, complex quality. Note the age (2014). — 14 days ago

Ruby in color with a wide reddish rim and medium plus intensity.
Pretty nose with red and black fruits, wood, earth, tobacco, black coffee and spices.
Dry on the palate with raspberries, cherries, plums, light oak, spices, chocolates, licorice, peppercorn, forest floor, earth, black tea, vegetables and herbs.
Medium finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 16 year old from Margaux, is drinking very nicely now. Showing nice balance and elegance. Soft and very dry.
Good right out of the bottle, and gets much earthier as it opens up, with lots of earth and forest floor notes. Really enjoyed the nose.
The 2008 vintage was not a good one, and although it's still very tasty, I don't see it getting any better from this point.
I've had a few vintages of this Second Growth Bordeaux, and I found it to be all over the place. The 2016 was my favorite so far.
