No lack of concentration. Bloody. Meaty. A bit beefy at first but this blows off and resolves into a powerful, elegant bouquet of black licorice, exotic black pepper and nutmeg, grape candy, crushed mint. Beneath is a juicy, salty, smokey and bacony wine that is silky and flavorful but clearly withholding even more. I’d not drink again until 2024 when this should be open for business. — 3 days ago
This is my 2nd '18 from Saint Emilion tonight, the first I didn't rate... Selection Bias..it was a 91 ... Anyway, this one well integrates the front forward red, blue and black fruit. Equally, it is a bomb of the combo of the 3, but with a slight leaning towards the blue berries. Nice balance with medium plus alcohol and medium tannins. Medium minus acidity. It's a very well balanced wine. I would like another shot at this one as it may be a notch or two higher.

Tried this as I happened to walk past a wine bar “Local & Vine” in NYC and met wine reps. Deep Ruby with aromas of red fruits, cedar and big floral and violet notes, aged in French oak. On the palate flavors of blackberry and ripe black cherry with notes of cacao, vanilla and pronounced dried floral herbs. Fine rich tannins, long finish ending with fruit, cacao, spice and floral notes. Nice but a bit too floral right now, needs more time in the bottle. — 6 days ago
Took about eight hours to open up and for the tannin to settle down. Full-bodied, lovely bouquet, earthy, and satisfying finish. Black currants, chocolate, oak, leather, and tobacco. — 13 days ago
2016 vintage. This is the best Gloria I have ever tasted and quintessential Saint-Julien in this fabulous vintage. Concentrated black fruit, cigar box, floral notes and lead pencil. Margaux meets Pauillac. Powerful and elegant, layered and precise, with juicy acidity and a long mineral finish. Highly recommended. Abv. 13,5%. On release I thought it was superior to its stablemate Saint-Pierre, should try to taste them alongside again. — 23 days ago
Château Lilian Ladouys Saint-Estèphe 2016: Medium-plus bodied. Round tannins. High acidity. Black fruits. Blueberry. Plum. Vanilla. Leather. Oak. Great finish. Consisting of 62% Merlot, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon & 6% Petit Verdot, this red Bordeaux blend presents power & smoothness yet still quite youthful & evolving. Overall, very pleasing & delightful with a lot of value for the price. Great weekend to all! Cheers🍷 — 14 days ago
2019 vintage. Cabernet Sauvignon (67%), Merlot (26%) and Cabernet Franc (7%). A classic Saint-Julien. Intense nose with cassis, blackberry , cedar wood and violets. Layers of concentrated black fruit in a powerful structure with ripe tannins and fresh acidity. This combines power and finesse. Long lingering finish. Highly recommended. Abv. 14%. — 3 days ago
