This was open with rich dark cherry, plum fruit, sweet & savory, spice, earth & tobacco

Jet black cork, fair amount of sediment. 90% merlot, 10% cab franc. Could be at peak, drinking extremely well.

And now for something completely different. Saving this nice Bordeaux for a while. Having a pre-barbecue tasting...

Still young, peppery mouthfeel, warmth of 2009. Delicious.

Full bodied and well structured merlot blend with black cherry notes and silky tannins. 93
