Château Larcis Ducasse
Saint-Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend
Good wine but way to young and very primary. Almost carbonic. The 05 was my favorite vintage of Larcis and I would love to see this wine in a decade or more but today it was pretty simple

Dec 15th, 2019First one that’s a little lean and thin. Beautiful ripe fruit with good acidity but, lacks structure and tannins. Still great acidity and easy to drink.

Jan 26th, 2019Dark berries and five spice powder with hints of peppered beef jerky on the nose. Soft smooth mouthfeel feel, tannins have some lean muscle that lingers well, with dark cherry, mild blackberry and hints of Szechuan peppered lightly smoked meats on the palate. Well done, probably could do with a few years of cellaring.

Nov 28th, 2020Paired this tonight with Vitello Marsala with Fettuccini--all homemade by me--thank you very much 🤪.
Creamy-stewed red fruit, green olives and tobacco nose notes. Somewhat of an alc burn midway. Medium acidity, medium bodied, medium plus tannins. Obviously young and age worthy!
