Wine Tasting #4
Sorry you missed this one, Neal.
South Africa. And overall I got in trouble three times for talking too much and not finishing my tasting in time.

Another solid vintage of this South African Cabernet Franc. Dark ruby color. Aromas and flavors of black cherry, blackberry and black currant. Hints of black licorice and earth. Quite ripe but with excellent balance. Dark and brooding. — 24 days ago
Light yellow in color with a golden tint.
Nose of apples, lemons, citrus, light oak, light tropical fruits, herbs, spices and minerals.
Light to medium in body and creamy, with medium plus acidity,
Dry on the palate with limes, light grapefruits, citrus, lemons, apples, earth, light wood, pears, spices, pineapples and black pepper.
Nice length on the spicy finish with limes, spices and bitter almonds.
This is a very tasty Chardonnay from Oregon. Very lightly oaked, which is very nice. Easy drinking and interesting.
This is a great sipping wine. Nicely balanced with mild complexity, and spicier than I expected it to be.
Would be interesting to try it in a couple of years, and see how it evolves.
Good by itself or with food. I enjoyed it all by itself, by the beach.
12.6% alcohol by volume.
90 points.

Got a nice natural quality. Light and subtle and cool that it comes from Keuka lake and treated in the manner, but falls a bit flat for me. The brewery itself, Big Alice Brewing, out in Industry City in Sunset Park, Brooklyn is pretty awesome tho. Love havin a beer on the lawn right outside on a pretty day, a midday affair. This bottle is cool for its novelty, but wish for a bit more complexity. — 15 days ago
