My first of 3 bottles of Little Wine #7 Blackberry, plummy, Bracken, red florals. Medium plus bodied palate - unmistakably from old vine Barossa Shiraz. Grainy (but silky) persistent tannins. After a couple of hours - smoked meats. Went from red and black berry fruits to much more savoury on the palate. Probably the best Little Wine so far. A blend of 4 vintages - 2017 (43%), 2016 (38%), 2015 (15%), and 2012 (4%). — 13 days ago
Amazingly found this bottle at rustic pizza, Clare Valley at a $130. Thought this might be our only chance to drink a Wendouree so grabbed it. Beautifully fresh fruited, lovely balance, crisp acidity, medium bodied. Black/red fruited with violet highlights, spice, earth, eucalypt, silky dry tannin. The longer we sat with it the leather and tannin became quite firm, perhaps overwhelming some of the earlier fruit flavours. Drunk too young but still memorable. — 5 days ago
Favourite rose so far :) fruity and sweet, not too acidic — 7 days ago
At first, minerals and crushed granite on the nose. Sweet, simple fruit and a little bit syrupy.
With about 6 hours of air it reveals tobacco, stewed figs, jammy red fruit, mint and some beef jerky, filling out to be very expressive. A little too jammy but delivers a lot of pleasure. — 17 days ago
A rich dark crimson in colour. A smoky creosote mocha aroma - plenty of charred oak. Sweet black fruits on the full bodied palate with blackberry and black cherry. A very Penfolds Barossa red. 2008 is the first vintage Penfolds made of the Bin 150. Marananga being a sub district of the Barossa and a noted source of old vine fruit. Typically, this is a pup, at 13 years of age and will cruise to 2030 and probably beyond. — 8 days ago
Lime pith swells with shallot, lemon peel and lemon-poppy bread, seashell, chive, carnation, orchids, candied grapefruit peel bouquet. Dry and enticing entry, has a Chablis like austerity, but rounder, showing chamomile and caper with lemon juiciness. .

Missing bae today, she’s in Chicago. Work travel is back I guess. Reading a little Calvino, watching a little Westworld and sipping on some Riesling.
Blades of grass, a cool day on a hike, the breeze that passed through a distant waterfall seen from atop the destined viewpoint.
A silk shawl draping the tongue in stone fruit, river water. Peaches and apples and fronds of supple leaves.
A bit of effervescence, a bit of acidity, a bit of petrol. Leads to a balance straddling dry and sweet at once.
Don’t really understand the underrated quality on the reviews, must be something I’m missing 🤷🏽♂️
I’ll go contrarian. — 2 days ago
See previous notes from 21 weeks ago. Pale yellow in colour. The acidity from that note has diminished. Aromas of Lime and Lemon zest with a hint of Kero. White florals. A light to medium weight palate. Mainly citrus notes with a little under ripe stone fruit developing. As clean as a whistle with medium minus acid. The palate had filled out the following day. In Tasmania Pinot Noir and Chardonnay get all the accolades but don’t forget about the excellent Riesling. — 13 days ago
Deep Ruby color, rich fruit aromas with earthy tones. On the palate raspberry and cherry flavors with sweet spice, tobacco and cacao notes, rich tangy and juicy. Soft full tannins, long finish ending with oak and earthy herb ending. Just starting to drink now, will cellar for a decade. Tasting Sample! — 5 days ago
