Smokestack Series Dark Truth Stout

Baby, it’s cold outside. Falling near 70! The stouts are out! This sleek black beauty has it all! Thick, even lacing in two tone cafe shades, a cumulus attitude. Clean almond and cacao pod with a lemon pith aura. Bee pollen, waterfall rocks and northern oyster shell, including a light brine. Medium mouthfeel and soft minerality prevailas sips reduce the lace to alphabet soup fonts and ultimately horror forests. Unexpectedly clean, with coffee-cola notes and caramelized onion minus the burn. Crispy vanilla that turns creamy with agitation. Steely, smoky, pepper crackers, and bitter violets. #boulevardbrewing #darktruth #kcbeer #stout #dankdark — 2 years ago

Love Child No. 5 Sour Ale

Oceanic agar suspends a muted, pickled peach and matches with fruit bat guano, pine chips, coffee, cardamom and white pepper aromas. Underripe bing cherries, toasty apricot, clove, scorched lemon, blood orange, underripe tangerine, grapefruit and kumquat: a particularly sour, yellow one. Decidedly different than the one I had last year; better perhaps! #boulevardbrewing #sourale #sourbeer #sourbeers #lovechild #numberfive #dankbeer — 2 years ago

Nut Cracker Ale

So nice to see this former winter staple in these sunny climes. Calcium bone wash with ginger-allspice banana bread exhale from the glass. Gingerbread, brittle, waxy twine, darkened toast come together in a pointy green tobacco. #boulevardbrewing #winterwarmer #KC — 4 years ago

Nut Cracker Ale

Chestnut colored with a sea sponge crown and cobweb lacing. Hazelnut and spun sugar fragrances with a malted powder scent. Crispy rice and milk chocolate in liquid form with a malt and honey interplay. Cocoa powder and nutmeg coat the tongue. #nutcrackerale #boulevardbrewing #kcbeer #seasonalbeer — 3 years ago

Love Child No. 5 Sour Ale

Orange bitters in sour boullion, with a honey recess carved into the funky sweet potato and snap pea. Less sweet than 5: less brown sugar. This has an ethereal citrus that borders grapefruit and pickled apricots spin in an eddy of complex depth below. It manifests as tart citrus fruit in its final tide, but there is an interesting paste that serves as the whitewater. #sourale #sourbeer #lovechild #boulevardbrewing — 3 years ago
