Master Series Extended Tirage Brut Oregon Pinot Noir Chardonnay 2014

Light gold in color.

Nice nose and medium in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with tiny bubbles.

Showing apples, light grapefruits, limes, earth, spices, herbs, minerals, light yeast and sea salt.

Long finish with limes and herbs.

This is a delicious Sparkling wine from Oregon. Elegant and rich, soft and smooth. Nicely balanced and complex.

This 12 year old is starting to drink at its peak now, and will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 years.

Easy drinking, engaging and entertaining, and a great sipping wine that will also pair nicely with food.

A blend of 65% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay and 5% Pinot Meunier. Aged in stainless steel and neutral French Oak barrels for 6 months. Made in the Traditional Method and disgorged after 10 years.

12.5% alcohol by volume.

Art Series Margaret River Shiraz 2020

Nicely aromatic & restrained (for Australia) with purity of dark fruit (blackberries, plums, mulberry), nice depth and excellent tannins quality - juicy, polished, finely grained.
Very elegant & with beautiful balance between the ripeness & savoury notes.
A really lovely wine!

The Bernard Series Old Vine Chenin Blanc 2024

Fantastic. I've been looking for this style of Chenin Blanc for years. It is similar to an oaked Chardonnay. Loads of body and rich nose. Smooth mouth feel — 3 months ago

Bush Vine Barossa Grenache 2023

Unusually complex for Grenache at this price range. Light and slightly savory. Notes of ginger, lemongrass, and pepper right after opening. Followed by mint and licorice after it opened up. — 3 months ago

Yalumba

The Menzies Coonawara Cabernet Sauvignon

Right in its drinking window, menthol, eucalyptus and black fruits all in harmony with fine tannins. — 5 months ago

PnP. Dark red color. Nose seems a little oxidized on the nose, which was strange as the cork was good. Fruit forward with plums, blackberries, and subtle anise. Medium plus depth and finish. Not what I remember from V29. — 3 years ago

Chateau Ste. Michelle

Indian Wells Contemporary Winemaking Series Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

2021 vintage. Immediately hit with heavy aromas of oak, spice, berry, and a slight hint of leather. Shockingly smooth on the palette, flavors of dark cherry, with a lingering finish and defined texture. Paired well with NC Barbecue chicken and spicy potatoes. Decent go to Cab for under $25. — 3 months ago

Yalumba

The Cigar Menzies Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Not overly complex but nonetheless delightful. Sweet Coonawarra dusty tannin! — 5 months ago

Yalumba

The Signature Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz 2006

Lots of mint on the nose (69% Cabernet Sauvignon; 31% Shiraz) together with blackberry. On the palate plenty of drive and power in this Cabernet Shiraz blend - layers of fruit, oak and spice. Rich and full bodied - the perfect accompaniment for a vintage Porterhouse steak - Waygu marbelling. Oak has integrated since the tasting 5 years ago. A pity that it takes 20 years for Yalumba’s Signature red to reach its peak but probably true. Interestingly the wine is matured for 22 months in American, French and Hungarian barrels coopered at Yalumba. This was the last bottle from a dozen originally purchased. — 7 months ago
