“Ygrec” is basically a flip of the standard d’Yquem; typically somewhere around 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Semillon. Traditionally, this dry version has only made in select vintages and the vines for Ygrec are selected prior to harvest and vary from vintage to vintage, typically before nobel rot takes place.
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of 90 minutes. The 2018 pours a bright straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing powerful notes of grapefruit, orange, Juicy Fruit, some varnish, fine subtle baking spices and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. An exciting Bordeaux Blanc that sizzles with energy and class. Absolutely baller stuff. Drink now through 2038. — 2 months ago
Was great the night I opened it but the next day it lost its flavor. I tasted bread for some reason and loved it. Drink in 1 night — 17 days ago
Absolutely fantastic! After 30 years this wind has hold the fruit, yes the fruit, the acidity is perfect. Long and supple. — 25 days ago
Deep Ruby red color with aromas of ripe black fruits, pepper spice and oak. On the palate flavors of ripe blackberry and plum with cinnamon, cacao, cacao and smoky notes. Big chewy tannins, medium+ finish, lively acidity, nice mouthfeel, ending with vanilla and earthy mineral tones, a fine Sipping Wine!! — 2 months ago

Sweet American oak, beautiful mature red-fruited Tempranillo, soft tannins, a little less acid than I remember in the 1980s/1990s vintages of this “regular” Pesquera Tinto, long, lingering finish, I’d guess this is mature and ready to drink!! — 15 days ago
