Wow! What a fabulous bottling of Pinot blanc. Usually it’s crisp and dry, with great acidity. But this - 2019 vintage - has honeysuckle, green fruit, unripe peach alongside the usual Pinot blanc characteristics. This is delicious! — 2 years ago
Tried new batch. Lucien Albrecht pioneered Crémant production in 1971 and helped gain an Appellation Contrôlêe for the wine and for Alsace. Pale lemon color, fine bubbles with a light creamy mousse and aromas of fresh stone fruit with biscuit scents. On the palate ripe apple, citrus and peachy flavors with nice mineral tones, dry with vivid acidity. Lingering finish with good balance ending with fruit, slight mineral and yeast tang. Excellent value as a Champagne alternative! Consistent quality. — 3 years ago
Egly-Ouriet. Always so lovely. Always so thrilling.
A medium old gold color in the glass with pleasing perlage. Everything here is so very sensual and seductive beginning with the nose. As usual, toasted brioche aromas are prevalent here. Orchard fruits with a generous oak influence. Green apples and dusty libraries with an added kick of quince.
So young but so precocious and inviting. Powerful and full bodied and just so engrossing. The elegance is there, as always. As is the complexity despite the relative youth. Shes a polished and generous lover that can’t help but enchanting you. The freshness of the fruit on the palate is amazing. Slivered almonds, red and green apples, and vanilla brioche. The finish is, of course, long, powerful, and glorious. Let these sit for a few more years because she has so much more to give. And you want it too. — 5 months ago
Deep Ruby color with aromas of red and black fruits with notes of floral, spice and herbs, grapes from 23 parcels. On the palate flavors of blackberry, raspberry and figs with licorice and herb spice. Fine dusty tannins, nice texture, long finish ending with fruit and mineral spice character. Nice! — 9 months ago

nose: enticing aroma of pear compote sweetened with honey and very lightly accented with vanilla and citrus
palate: nectarines in cream, very fine bubbles, balancing acidity, no tartness, simple syrup w/ honey and slight mineral accents on the finish — 2 years ago

I’ve been drinking this slowly over a week and a half. At this point it tastes like a fortified or mulled wine. It’s deep, inky like ox blood, burnt copper color around the rim. The smell is mulled red fruit, raspberry, strawberry, dry earth, purple flowers, sweet lavender. Very delicate tannins remain with an acidity that tickles the edges of the tongue and fades quickly. What you’re left with is something that resembles a young fortified wine with beautiful red fruit, earth, a floral element that lingers, and a slight hint of mushroom. It’s quite lovely and unexpected. — 20 days ago
