Throughly enjoyable Cabernet from Napa Valley. Their website states that this is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Truly impressive if that is the case for the 2010 vintage. Deep, dark fruit...almost like dried plum with hints of stewed blackberry. Strong tannic backbone with slight acidity. This is drinking really well right now but could go another 2-3 years. Really opened up after about 30 mins.

This is the second label for Axios Cabernet by winemaker Bob Egelhoff. Aged for 20 months in French oak, deep red with dark berry aromas and rich spice. On the palate blackberry and cherry with soft mouthfeel on fine tannins. Lingers on the finish ending with cacao and espresso notes.

Nariz: cereza, mora, ciruela, cassis, pimiento verde, toque de madera

Boca: Seco, Tanino M+ pero ya resueltos y sedosos, Acidez M, Alcohol M+. Buen balance y bastante largo en boca. Buen vino y a un precio razonable.

Another "worthy" effort. Black cherry, currant and clove flavors effortlessly grace the palate. The texture is velvety; the finish long and loamy. Superb. Almost always a Best Buy.
