PnP. Drinking young. Very dark, thick red color. Medicinal tones, cedar, and dark cherries on the nose with some oak. Same on the palate. Seems higher than the 14.4 OH. Next to zero finish which is disappointing. Average Napa Cab right now and seems way overpriced at $60+. — 9 months ago
A very pretty color of ruby with a wide reddish/ brownish rim.
Fruity nose with raspberries, cherries, black currants, black plums, light oak, light vanilla, Mediterranean spices, licorice, chocolates, tobacco and herbs.
Medium bodied and smooth, with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, cooked cherries, green herbs, oak, earth, light vanilla, peppercorn and tobacco leaf.
Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and cranberries.
This is a very tasty and interesting Sangiovese from Napa Valley. Nicely balanced, tangy and fruit forward. Soft and elegant.
Needs a few hours in the decanter to open up properly, smooth out, and remove some of the acidity. I really enjoyed it after 3 hours.
An interesting expression of Sangiovese. Feels like a blend of old and new worlds.
The high alcohol is very integrated, so watch out.
I had the 2017 before, and it is very consistent.
A good food wine, but good by itself as well. I paired it with cheeses and light appetizers. Will pair nicely with red sauce Italian dishes.
A blend of 96% Sangiovese and 4% Merlot. Aged in French oak barrels for 18 months (35% new).
14.9% alcohol by volume.

Medium garnet wide watery rim . No oxidation whatsoever , really quite floral and enticing on the nose , dried strawberry raspberry fruits , truffle , spiced old wood notes . On the palate lovely freshness and elegance with those red fruit, truffle and spiced strawberry, earl grey tea notes . Good length , just slightly drying on the finish now , apart from that this wine really does show well . Very elegant and precise . If you have the bottles open over the next 5 years or so . @ Rockpool Sydney , great suggestion from the sommelier even if I did really want to stick to Australia ! — 3 months ago
Loved this wine in Maine 2019. Bought at grape d'vine. — 5 years ago
Medium ruby with wide garnet rim . On the nose quite red fruit focused with earthy , sous bois and truffle notes , grafite coffee and cedar . On the palate medium bodied with a mix of red and dark fruit, soy , tobacco , iron filings and cedar. Quite good acidity , with fine tannin , balanced alcohol . Pretty good length with a saline , grafite finish . This is showing well now and be at its best over the next 5-8 years , and last a further 10. On Singapore Airlines FRA - SIN — 3 months ago
Medium ruby , wide pink ruby rim . Ripe , quite high toned red cherry , strawberry , mint and herbs . High strict acidity , even with the ripe red fruits, herbal touches , cedar to balance. Quite sweet tannins and ok length , nicely balanced and delicately done. Successful for the vintage though not really long term or particularly complex . Drink from now over the next 5-10 years . — 6 months ago
