I don't know what kind of evil voodoo sorcery is going on at Stone brewing, but these guys can't seem to put out a single bad ale. This is the most basic of their IPA selection. Very clean, simple and straightforward. No funky aftertaste and no smack you in the face crazy hoppiness. I suspect they are sacrificing chickens to some voodoo God, but I can't prove it. — 11 years ago
Big bad voodoo Bitch! I keep trying other old vine Zins but I keep coming back to this. Big smokey and very Paso. — 11 years ago
Refreshing summer beer. Great flavor, no bad aftertaste — 4 years ago
Pale gold haze with white gold accent. Devilish horned sheet lacing reveals head-butt bunnies and robot parts; snow white and merengue. Grapefruit-clementine nose of carrot sweetness and cut yellow beet teases out almond candy, persimmon, kiwi and green banana. Palate is less tropical, with icy citrus and metallic energy, but texturally creamy; candied sage, Indian gum, Mexican wedding cookie flashbacks, white grapefruit, gooseberry, lime pith and white pomegranate seed nodules. Hints at white pepper in orange pith. I like it. Less “juicy” than suggested, but high quality offering worth the rotation. Something to shake a stick at!

Great stuff coming out of Detroit, this one would stand it's own in a flight of the best high gravity beers around. — 10 years ago
Soft and medium-bodied with a nice punch of cherry. Not too much on the back end. Sort of like Dr Facilier's voodoo in the Princess and the Frog. At first, you expect what you wished for. Then POOF! You're a frog. But being a frog's not all that bad in the end. The Colby Red drinks a lot like that. Really...it can be appreciated after a few glasses, as long as my daughter is transfixed by Princess and the Frog. — 11 years ago
Bright, pale straw in color. Brief white mousse and tiny, "frizzantini" bubbles. Abundant nose of white flowers, echoed on the light palate which adds overripe peach and red apple. Juicy acidity balances the fruity sweetness. A lingering finish rounds it out. Perfect standard bearer for the appellation that many try to imitate. Balance is key, making an excellent sipper or accompaniment to fresh fruit or spicy dishes (like my Voodoo pasta)! Drink now. — 4 years ago

Cloudy. Tropical. Crisp, citrusy and refreshing. Hoppy to my delight. It’s unfiltered and you can notice when drinking but I support it. 7.5% ABV. Bring me more. 🍺 #badandboozypod #crafterbeerlover #reviews — 8 years ago
Second time I've tried this. Struck by the viscosity. Pretty intense. — 9 years ago
Pretty close to Brooklyn's Sorachi Ace... Because it has Sorachi ace hops. Really good — 11 years ago

Sometimes I just open a quality bottle for no real occasion, and today is one of those days. The nose and opening palette is pretty standard for white burg - lemon, green apple, saline minerals. But what sets this apart is the incredible finish - ethereal complexity of dried apple, apricot, almond, subtle oak, bitters, lemon zest and delicate citrus. Tame acidity that opens up over time . Feels very light (despite 13.5% abv), refined and elegant. Deserves to be served on its own, maybe with some herbed and salted nuts. But I’m having it with Goodles parm mac n cheese and Zapp’s Voodoo chips. It’s divine :) — a year ago
