Ruby in color with medium intensity and a reddish rim.
Very pretty nose of sweet red and black fruits, cedar, licorice, tobacco, chocolates, coffee, light cola and spices.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and fat legs.
Dry and very fruity on the palate with black currants, black plums, cooked cherries, spices, oak, tobacco, licorice, light herbs and peppercorn.
Tangy finish with soft tannins and cranberries.
This is a very tasty Cabernet Sauvignon from Lake County in California. Spicy and tangy. Showing an elegant mouthfeel with nice complexity.
Easy drinking and good right out of the bottle, but a little hot at the back of the throat.
I had this vintage 4 years ago and it was better then, so drink up.
Good by itself or with food. I paired it with hard cheeses and crackers.
14.5% alcohol by volume.

Not very often do I post European wines. I do drink them from time to time but so much to explore in California! 1999 “Unico” brought by master sommelier Jay Fletchers to Cache Cache in Aspen. Richness and restraint with a deep almost coffee-like intensity. — 12 days ago
