Woah, I’ve been drinking so much white and orange wine, I forgot how muscly the bouquet can be on a solid gamay.
Cloves, blueberries, jammy raspberries. Just a wonderful fragrance, deep and rich, a pool of earth, leather, and cinnamon.
Perfectly dry and tannic. Fruity compote like texture up front that carries through in an undercurrent of black currants and blackberry jam.
Eucalyptus like herbal quality right at the end that really brings it home.

18. Classic leathery nose, with powerful fruit and great length. Beautiful. — 12 days ago
Very interesting. So light but tannic. Like a great natural wine meets a familiar mediocre average red wine from a restaurant of not your choosing. — 22 days ago

Super aromas. Mesmerizing. Herbal, cassis, light cherry, mineral and so so lifting. Super complex and so transparent. Sweet fruit on the palate, so nimble, elegant and mineral. This just floats and has a Burgundian sensibility. So balanced and wowza pure. Ripe and super elegant tannins. Superb. Has more to say. — 16 days ago
Electric. So so electric. Floral, stones, minerals, some light white almond slices, wet rocks, so stoney. But pure and chiseled. Palate is terrific. Dense, chewy and my god the acid on this is majestic. Nimble and pure with such purity and length. Lemons are pretty much the only fruit but the minerals crush you. So elegant and textured, yet dynamic and massive. Really a wine of contrasts wherein the intrigue lies. What aromas. Best Roches Neuves white since 13 Clos Romans but this might be better. Thierry has always said ultimately this wine would be better than Clos Romans when the vines got old enough. I think 18 is first vintage where this is true. An unreal wine. — a month ago
